changed blog address to index.html created phantom login page
-
Yesterday I changed my blog address to just “index.html” in the Dashboard – it immediately gave me a 500 server error – and created a phantom login page. I have removed ALL themes and when I go to the local host login page I am redirected to:
which contains a login page with the name of my theme! I have searched every wp file with Dreamweaver and there is no such page containing my theme name. The login URI on this page is:
https://localhost/wordpress/index.html/wp-login.php?action=register
There is no index.html file in wordpress. Looks like I have to reinstall WP – very bizarre.
