Changed behavior of: Select Categories to Omit from Republishing:

    It says on the plugin’s configuration page:

    [URL]/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=republish-old-posts

    “Select Categories to Omit from Republishing:

    which I understand as

    that the categories I select, shall not be republished. And it seemed to work that way in that past.

    But since the last update, it republishes posts from the categories selected. If the logic got changed, the selection should be negated at the same time automatically. Further, the description text needs to be updated, e.g. to:

    “Select Categories to be Republished:”

    The logic for omitted categories wasn’t changed.

    Did the problem just appear now? The plugin hasn’t been updated for 4 months.

    I just did some testing and posts in the category I omitted didn’t publish which is what is expected.

    Can you manually set the date of a post in an omitted category to something in the past so that it is re-published? Make sure the post is in just the category that has been omitted and not any other categories.

    Thank you for your quick response. It seems that it stopped working completely. Yesterday I unmarked all categories, but nothing got republished since April 12 any more. On my blog, there are hundreds of articles older than the 30-day threshold.

    Basically, I want to republish from this category

    Not sure what the problem could be. The plugin hasn’t changed in months and there haven’t been any other reports.

    I’m guessing a theme or another plugin update has resulted in some sort of conflict with my plugin.
