Change WP-admin login page and Loopback error

    Hello.

    I’m having a problem with my website, a lot of bots and hackers are trying to access my website through the standard wp-admin link; I used a plugin to change this link, but I ended up with a loopback error on the site. I ended up resetting a backup to solve the problem.

    Is there any way to change the default administration access link to wordpress without having the loopback error? If so, how?

    There’s no need to do so. It does not add any significant level of protection. If you want a secure login, use a good, strong password and two factor authentication.

    Hallo @sterndata . I did that today. Added the google authenticator plugin (two factor) and changed the login and password. I will also instal the wordfence, to block the countries and ip’s trying to login. So I must be fine right? ??

    Yup. I use Google Authenticator on one site and WordFence’s 2FA (which is really another Google Authenticator) on another. The only issue is that I sometimes have to go find my phone to finish logging in!

    Hallo @sterndata ! Following all your advices. I was checking my other sites! So I’m using GA in all of them, this will help to desmotivate the hackers.

    Do you know any defense plugin FREE, that blocks ip’s from country? I have a lot of access attempts from eastern europe and asia, I would like to block by countries.
