“Change WordPress Address”

    I was experimenting with some of the options on WordPress and decided to change the “change wordpress address” line, because I don’t like the “blog” tacked on to the end of my web address. I changed it, and everything was messed up (as I’m sure some of you who are smarter than me realize already).

    Now I can’t change this option back, because it says I have to enable sending refferers in order to change the settings. I looked at the wordpress post on how to change that setting, and I tried “1” and “2”, no help on either of them.

    Help! Here’s what my site looks like now: https://www.holdemauthority.com – Not good.

  • unfortunately, you’ll need to follow these instructions on changing that info back in your mysql database using PHPmyadmin.

    Then you’ll want to follow these directions /Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Within_Your_Site to properly move the blog.

    If you run into any problems, or don’t feel comfortable with the directions, check back with specific questions, and someone will be able to assist. And don’t worry, nothing is lost.

    Is the second half of the instructions for what I was trying to do? I followed the first part and everything is ship shape, so I’m thinking the second link can be used for my initial goal before everything got messed up.
