Change width on footer

Hey guys,

I’m pretty new at this html, so please bear with me.
I’m using this template: Esplanade
My website is: phonedeal.dk

I want to change the footer size to the same as my menu-bar.
I’ve tryed this at style.css #footer, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Can anyone help me?
