change white background on custom page

you should be able to something like the following to your theme’s style.css file:

.single_post, .single_page {
    background-image: url('https://path/to/image.jpg') !important;
}

OR

.single_post, .single_page {
    background-color: #000  !important;
}

note:
– the !important part might not be necessary
– see https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp#table1 for more options if using background-image
