change warehouse status on request

    I would like to add the item to the warehouse status of: on request

    cause I sell products that I don’t have in stock How can I add the entry: in request to the warehouse status? or modify the written back order in upon request

    Hi @carlob76! Thanks for reaching out. I’d love to help, but will need more information to understand what it is you’re trying to do.

    It sounds like you want to use “Allow Backorders?” (as explained in the inventory documentation), but instead of “On Backorder”, change it to “In request to the warehouse”, is that correct?

    If that is what you’re aiming for, it’s possible to do via a custom translation. I tested it on my site (just replaced the words), and here’s what it looks like on the single product page, email, and order edit screen:
