WPSSO Core gets the product width, height, weight values from WooCommerce – you can set whatever units of measure you prefer in the WooCommerce settings. WPSSO Core will convert these to standard metric values automatically for social and search crawlers.

The settings in WooCommerce>Settings>Product>Measurements are already configured to the US System using lbs., in. and US Qt. see link https://prnt.sc/4CTVSJeuwIgS whereas on WPSSO>Advanced Settings>Metadata>Custom Fields show Imperial units cm. and kg. see link https://prnt.sc/SYKC4gP6_pbL.

So is this a WPSSO bug since it is not taking WooCommerce data?

WPSSO Core gets product width, height, length, and weight values from WooCommerce, converting them automatically to metric for Schema markup and meta tags, from whatever standard you selected in the WooCommerce settings – there is nothing to adjust or configure.

Based on the screenshot links, why is WPSSO registering the units in Imperial Standard?

There is configuring on the WC platform as in this screenshot link.

So why is WPSSO not getting what was configured in the Woocommerce measurement settings?

The WPSSO screenshot should have (in. & lbs.) not (cm. & kg.).

Yes, as mentioned earlier, WPSSO Core uses metric units for its internal metadata (ie. custom field). WooCommerce provides product weight information to WPSSO Core and users, in whatever unit is defined in the WooCommerce settings. A custom field should not be used for this as this is redundant (WooCommerce has it’s own ‘_weight’ custom field).

Sorry but your reply did not address what was asked which is confusing this further.

How am I supposed to know if the data entered is registering as Imperial or US Standard in Edit Schema tab in Document SSO? see screenshot link below.

    I’ve used
    meta: _wpsso_product_length
    meta: _wpsso_product_width
    meta: _wpsso_product_height
    meta: _wpsso_product_weight
with CSV imports and data caputured in Document SSO. The only problem is the data is grey out with no alternate way to view this info. see screenshot below

https://prnt.sc/5UVV_QcUo3ds this is a live product.

All I need to know is will the data entered regesiter as US Standard even though the screenshot above says Imperial???

Please don’t mark this as resolved until it is.

As I said earlier, weight information (for example) is provided by WooCommerce and entered in the WooCommerce product metabox – in whatever weight units you’ve chosen in WooCommerce.

WPSSO Core gets weight information from WooCommerce and converts in automatically to metric for social and search engines.

And you’re ignoring the screenshots showing WPSSO not reflecting WooCommerce settings. You reply as if data was not presented to you.

@kingbrown75 How is this topic a “Guideline violation”?

It’s not in anyway. If you are not satisfied with the 100% unpaid and free volunteer support you are receiving for this opensource plugin then consider deleting the plugin and move on.

This is paid for with functions integrated to product data. Removing or switching would be a major set back and I’m really trying to learn this. The knowledge articles are not extensive leading to contact the developer referring back to articles with no answers. I’ve admitted and apologied to mistakes previously made and the only thing wanted is to move on. BTW, WPSSO consists of 17 plugins in which 9 are in use with other functions. The articles should be more informed if the developer doesn’t like answering questions from their customers.
