Change type of Biography field in registration form

  • Hi there, I would like to use a different type of field for the “comment” meta key, not the pre-defined “Biography” text field. (Instead I want to use a drop down menu here.)

    However when I try to add a new field for the “comment” meta key, Ultimate Member says I can not use pre-defined keys. Although I am not using it!

    Can I remove the pre-defined “Biography” field or change it to drop down?

    Sorry! I was talking about the “description” meta key, the one used in WordPress for the users “Biography”. Now I guess you will understand.

    In general:

    Having those pre-defined fields for the registration form is very convenient, but I think it would be great to sometimes allow using a different field type for the reserved meta keys, or change the type of existing fields after insertion.
