• I’m currently using a mix of Serif WebPlus and WordPress to design my website (www.mademers.com). I need to redesign my site(s), integrating them better, or preferably into one.

Problem is, I cannot find a WP theme that allows me to create custom pages that don’t look like a blog, but Serif WebPlus doesn’t have responsive design built in: I have to create two websites, one for full screen, one for mobile (three if I want to include tablet in between).

I also need to update my blog (www.mademers.com/globalindieauthor) to a new theme that is responsive. I am terrified that when I do I’m going to lose my posts, my subscribers, etc.

Right now I am anticipating that I will end up with two sites as I do now (one custom, one WP blog), though I will redesign them to look more integrated (my current website is about 10 years old; the blogs were added along the way). But if anyone knows of a better, singular way, that would useful.

In that vein, does anyone know of a WP theme that allows the user to create more than one custom page? And can anyone give me an idea of the risks involved to content when changing from one theme to another?

Note that I am not a programmer; I can only design from WYSIWYG (I have some background in graphic design).

    All aid appreciated.

I use symphony (free in WordPress repository) and symphony pro ($)

Modern Business (free in WordPress repository)
    Responsive.
A few page templates available in each theme.

    Hey !
A responsive website means 1 and only 1 website that works on all devices and it looks different when the screen size changes in order to suit best your device ?? so if you want a responsive website it will be only 1 website not 2 or 3 websites as you mentioned. Anyway I thought you may want to know that.
For what you need now,a wordpress theme has many templates. Some for different kind of pages and others for blogs ( pages containing posts ) so yes by using wordpress you ll be able to put both your blog and other website page on 1 website.I see you use wp already for blog, so about your subscribers and posts you will loose none of them if you install a new theme and don’t touch the database ??

    Which themes?

Every theme I look at only allows for one front page and then everything else looks like the blog with the same sidebars repeating. This is what I want to avoid.

    Any specific recommendations?

Here are some links to premium theme websites that might get you started.

    Good morning Bad_Egg !

try changing the pages where you don’t want to see the blog sidebars using the following option https://imgur.com/dVOzQum ( it’s a screenshot, I thought it would make it easier to know exactly where to go )
Another solution is going to widgets menu and delete the widgets you don’t need

I hope this helps, if not there is always a solution just let me know and we will take care of it ??

    Cheers !
