Change to a subdomain problems

I have been using S2 for a few years on a clients site installed in a sub domain without a problem. Last week I created a new version of the clients site in another sub domain and (installed S2 as normal, imported the subscribers) and a number of subscribers are not receiving notifications.
There does not seem to be a pattern to the mail failures. Most are to normal business domains and some too free services like Hotmail & Gmail.
One other point… How is the S2 tracking option to be used? Does this require the Google Analytics code? Can I use tracking to test the failed e-mail address?
