We have outlined the steps to change the page titles in our Knowledgebase article, Altering and Removing Calendar Page Titles.

Alternatively, you can use our free extension Change the Labels for “Events”, “Organizers”, or “Venues” to change “Events” to “Writing Competitions” everywhere on your site.
