• L.S.,

I would like to change the title of the BLOG-page. This is now “BLOG” and I can’t find a way to change this. Does anyone have an idea?

The page doesn’t take the title it actually has but changes it into BLOG, probably hard-coded somewhere…

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated…

    Cheers,

    Carlo

    Hi Carlo,

You’re right, it’s effectively hardcoded inside the thinkup_title_select() function.

It is translatable, though, so you could setup a filter (or use a plugin like Say What if you prefer) to modify it to something else.

What would be really nice here is if the theme authors introduced a hook in that same function to make modifications a little cleaner … until then I guess you could also override the header.php template from within a child theme and swap out the call to thinkup_custom_introabove() (which ultimately calls the function I noted above) with some logic of your own.

    Hello,

Basically, by default the blog page will always use the title “Blog”, this is because WordPress fully the content from archive pages.
When we assign a page template, in the background the output is pulled in a different way.
It gives the user more control. So now, you can call their page News, and the title on the blog page will be News.

You need to assign a blog page template. Then it will use the page title.

    Thanks

I’m using the same theme and having the same issue. My menu says News, but page header/title still says Blog. I was wondering how this was resolved.

@phpexpert21 The blog template sounds like a good fix, but the link no longer works. Is there another example that explains how to do this?

I’m having a similar issue. When I do a search and I don’t limit the search, my results include all of the available posts, and the title of the page is “Blog”. I have no idea how to change this. I’ve looked everywhere in WordPress and have had no luck. I’m assuming it’s hard coded somewhere, but don’t know where to look (I don’t know how to code at all). I tried Say What plugin, and it didn’t work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just found a plugin that worked great to fix this problem – loco translate (thanks seventhqueen support!). Not sure how to edit the string “Blog”, but it allowed me to remove it using the plugin.
