How can i change the time period in the dashboard widget but ONLY for the list of posts and not for the diagram?

I want to have a list of daily visits there, not a list of visits in the last 14 days.

    Hi Rene,

That’s a nice idea! It isn’t possible in the current version but since everyone seems to want something different from their dashboard widget, we are thinking of making it configurable.

I’m not yet sure how to best implement that in terms of the user interface, so if you have any ideas I’d love to hear it.

A relatively easy first approach would be to accept a text input that you could add a list of functions too, eg ‘realtime(1h), chart(14d), top_posts(1d)’ but I am not sure whether that is too technical for some?

This would probably be the best option. A competitor product offers similar options for the widget, I find that very helpful and easy to understand.

    Thanks @mobiflip.

I looked at Statify and actually really liked their defaults, just showing a quick summary of today for the top posts and top referrers. Especially after hearing you wanting to change it to just today.

I’ve now changed our dashboard widget to use the same and will look at providing some configurable settings for this in a future release.

Please let me know your thoughts once you’ve looked at version 1.3.1 please.

The adjustment works and I like it. Visually, there is still some room for improvement. And to be able to set it according to your own preferences would be perfect. thank you.

Oh. And the display of the visitors of the current day without hover, so at a glance, would of course also be great.

@mobiflip What about something like this?

This looks very good. Can I specify how long the list of displayed entries should be? For me personally for example ten would be great, for others possibly five would be enough.

    Hello Rene,

You will be able to do this using a filter in the next version:

Very nice work! Will there also be a customizable time interval for the real time hits?

Not yet, but I do have plans to support that. But also, the current time limit for the real-time number is 1 hour. Larger time frames are automatically discarded to save on storage.

What time frame for the real time hits did you have in mind?

    (@mobiflip)

30 minutes, that’s industry standard as far as I know. See also Google Analytics and similar services.

Just now I noticed that the list is not quite accurate, respectively the text is not correct. it says “Most visited pages (today)” but the list of the last 24 hours is displayed. So if I look in the morning at 9:00, I have no impression of what is most clicked today. Of course it would make sense if today was really today.

    Hi @mobiflip,

I noticed that too. It’s already fixed and will be included in today’s update!
