Change thumbnail for portfolio widget

    I have a custom post type and I created a page for it to display the posts and used a portfolio widget for that.

    The thing is I have inside every post an ACF field for an image, I want that field to be hooked as the featured image to be displayed on the portfolio widget

    How that can be done?
