    I recently received access to a WordPress website and want to update the theme. A large image currently fills the entire main screen and I cannot seem to shrink it to half size or smaller.

    it’s a customized theme called ASCSU Theme

    it is difficult for this fourm to help with customized or custom made themes, partly because there is no free access to the templates;
    have you tried to contact the developer fo the theme?

    generally, start looking into header.php of the theme to see how the image output is coded; there might also be some setting for the images size in functions.php of the theme…

    We have tried reaching out to the developer a few months ago, but I can try reaching out to him again.

    I apologize, I am very new to WordPress. Can you tell me where I can locate the header.php and functions.php in the WordPress site? Thank you!

    We can’t really because you’re using a custom theme. Again, generally, this is in your /wp-content/themes/your-custom-theme-folder/
