Sorry but you’re asking for three completely different things here. Your best approach might be to use Firefox with the Firebug add-on installed so that you can see which parts of the stylesheet you need to edit.

ok so i edit the css in wordpress editor right?
also if u can help with one..id be grateful as opposed to the three

The gray headers and titles for categories can be edited in style.php, not style.css. (Yes, strange!)

I suspect the post background can be edited there also, but I really don’t know.
