We need a guru who can handicraft W3C Valid XHTML/CSS markup, that is compatible with modern browsers (the list includes IE6). We expect you to deliver clearly commented, maintainable and sustainable code that will make sense to your successors. You know what the box model hack is and what versions of IE it works for. You may love Firebug because it saves your life or you are so good you don’t need it.
Ultimately, your contribution will be to help Global Poverty Action, an initiative of Seattle’s Ethiopian community, repair a dam in southern Ethiopia this year that will provide 3,000+ people with safe, easily accessed drinking water for the first time.
Specifics:
We are redesigning the Global Povery Action website and would like it to be integrated with WordPress. We will need your help with weaving in a theme and developing templates and CSS code for WordPress. Familiarity with Fireworks and design concepts is necessary as you will slice images and translations from the designs to final code should be a match, pixel-for-pixel. Of course to, work with WordPress, knowledge of PHP is helpful.
