This is a really GREAT plugin. But there are many other types of locations — like Business, Venue, Restuarant, Meeting, Contractor, etc — that are not STORES.

But the admin UI has “Store” everywhere, which is wrong for my site.

Can that label be customized, so it makes sense to my client?

Actually the plugin provides HOOKS to filter the labels for the Post-Type (stores) and Taxonomy (store categories). That’s great!

But — it does NOT provide a similar filter hook for the Meta Box labels. I don’t see a way to modify the “Store Details” and “Store Map” meta box titles.

Not a big deal, but this should be filtered too, since the other filters are provided. Why not go all the way?

Thanks again for an excellent plugin!

Both the ‘Store Details’ and ‘Store Map’ are translatable.

So if you create a language file ( I assume English ), place it in the /wp-content/languages/wp-store-locator folder, change the ‘Store Details’ into whatever you want, and it should overwrite the language file from within in the /wp-store-locator/languages/ folder.

    Yes that worked. Thank you!

This hasn’t worked for me. I used the free version of Poedit to change the text I wanted and saved it as wpsl-en_GB in the folder /wp-content/languages/wp-store-locator (which I had to create).

Still showing the same field names and text as before. Any suggestions?

Is the language in your WP installation also set to en_GB?

    Hi Tijmen,

No, site language under general settings was set to English US. I’ve just set it to English UK and it’s working correctly now. Doh!

Thanks very much for the help…
