Change the type of taxonomy searched?

Hi,

I’m using this plugin with Woocommerce and it’s currently picking up the Product Attributes so the search string reads /?pa_XXXX=

I would like to change it, so that it picks up the Product Categories instead so the search string reads /?product_cat=

Can anyone point me in the right direction with this one? Thanks in advance!
