Change the symbol ">" for "/" in the breadcrumb.

Look at the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page, edit the “Breadcrumb Separator” setting under the “General” tab to what ever you want.

I have tried to change the “>” to “/” for quite some time now. It is not saving my setting. I tried writing a / and I also tried writing HTML entity instead.
What shall I try next?

When I try to modify the separator field with another symbol I still see the “>” Even when I remove the separator all together its still showing that symbol. I had this working for the last 6 months, but it’s not recently started showing this. I wonder if it was due to the upgrade.

Okay please disregard my last post. I saw the posting for how the new 5.0 version handles in multisite setups. Changing the general settings in the network admin area fixed my issue. Thanks.
