Change the menu bar color within Shell Lite Theme

Does that theme come with an area in the dashboard named something like, “Custom Styles”?

You could stretch the left logo larger, but really you need to use a larger image.

To modify shell-lite and any theme you’ve not built yourself, you should create and use a Child Theme stylesheet or use a Custom CSS plugin.
This way your modifications won’t be lost once you update the theme.

The menu colour is more of a CSS issue, rather than WordPress.
You can find the HTML and CSS structure of the page easily through a browser inspector tool, or try querying in a CSS-specific forum.

Sorry, that wasn’t the actual logo I wanted to place there. I was hoping to place a version of the big “Weiss-Roessler Writing” logo. (Since it didn’t fit, I tried that little blue flower.) Is there any way to make the logo fit across that entire space? Right now, I believe it fits 300 pixels, but I want an image to fit all the way up until the social media icons.

Thank you for the tips on the Child theme and CSS. I am working on changing the menu color now!

The logo can be any size you want — you just need to use an image that is that size. Looks like 550px wide would be about right to fill up that space. Since your site is fixed width, you won’t need to worry about it resizing.

For some reason, that wasn’t working before. Maybe I was just making the image too big because you were totally right — 550px fits perfectly. Thank you!
