Change the excerpt length displayed in 4 columns section

On the vega demo site (https://demo.lyrathemes.com/vega/), when you scroll down to the ‘Featured Pages’ section it shows the 4 columns layout and the excerpts are all cut off at different points.

When I link to the page I want it shows the excerpt followed by […]. Is there a way I can customise how long this excerpt is and ideally get rid of the […] bit? I’d like mine to look like the one on the demo but it’s not showing like that by default.
