Change text in registration email…

  • Where can I change the registration text in the email sent when someone registers? As well as the subject line…

  • wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php has the function wp_new_user_notification() that has the lines of code you are looking for (assumes using WordPress 2.0.1)!

    Since modifying core files is not recommended, make copies of your files before and after you make the changes and remember you may need to retrofit those changes after future upgrades.

    I was able to successfully edit the subject line with the help MichaelH provided, but, also true to his word, as soon as I did more it broke the file.

    So, for now, the subject was at least changed. I continue to seek out a better way to do this in the future.
