create and use an excerpt of testimonial in the sidebar widget

  • some of my testimonials are quite long so was wondering if I could choose a particular sentence from them to use in the widget?

    Could the excerpt box be enabled on the testimonials edit screen and then use the manual excerpt in the widget?

    there’s another plugin that does it but it’s missing other features I need.

  • If you add the standard <!–more–> tag to your testimonials, it’ll show an excerpt in the testimonial widget, but just as an FYI, we’ve had only some success with it. For us, it works on the homepage only, and then still shows the full testimonial on other pages (that’s using the Canvas theme).
