Change Social Media ICON Images

  • I was wondering if anyone knew how to access the icons from the social media box? I am wanting to add Instagram as an icon and link. I don’t even need a “new” option. I will never use “linked in” so I was going to switch out the linked in icon for an instagram icon. I am not sure of the local of this icon though.

    Can anyone please help!?

    I am afraid, its configured in code. You need to update/customize the widget code to make instagram available.

    First I would recommend making a child theme, so your changes don’t get lost if you update the theme. Next, find the file themes/openstrap/inc/widgets/openstrap-social-box-widget.php.

    This is the file you will need to change in several places. It would definitely help if you knew a little php. I plan on adding a few things myself, but haven’t yet.
