• Can I somehow change my slider titles to h2 instead of h1, but to keep font size? I know how to edit font size in .carousel-caption, but don’t know where to set a class for titles in slider, and change them to be h2. I read somewhere that only one h1 tag on home page is better for SEO. If anyone have an idea.. ??
    Thanks!

  • Having 2 h1s is no longer considered a problem (unlike in the past). See here.

Thanks ElectricFeet. I read the topic and watched the guy from google, that makes sense, but I have 5 slides and one static h1 under the slider which is ‘right on spot’.
My text on slider is more like ‘ad text’ with call to action buttons, not saying about site that much like my static h1. I feel like that one is ‘true’ h1, and should have priority…but I’m a noob ??
Can ‘ad text’ on slider (like “You want it? – Get it here!”) affect my true h1 below?
Sorry for my english and thanks! ??

The reality is that we will never know, as Google don’t publish their algorithms.

Better to spend time with an SEO plugin (I use Yoast’s and it’s worked well for me) and follow the advice they give.
