Change Size of Slider

Hello,

I am new to WordPress, especially customizing themes. I am using the Pro version of this and would like to change a few things, if possible and have some general questions:

1) I’d like to change the size of the slider so that it is about half as tall. I’d like it to be visible when visiting our site without having to scroll down.

2) Also, I’d like to change the position of the menu so that it sit on the same level as our logo.

3) How do I change the content/link of the sidebar content. Right now it shows “Recent Posts,” “Recent Comments,” “Archives,” “Categories,” and “Meta” and I would like it to be links to subheads of that Header.

4) Lastly, I am having trouble with the section above the footer. It’s the section that has “Latest Tweets,” “Latest News,” “Categories.” I’d like to compress this section so that it isn’t so big and only shows Latest Tweets. Also, I have been unable to change the color.
