Change site name problem

    Hi,
    Sorry, it seems like this question is asked and answered 10000 times but I am still having trouble with the execution. Maybe I am missing something?

    I have a site: https://www.reelingsilk.com/eXplosivePunching and I want to change it to https://www.reelingsilk.com/explosivepunching (yes, only the capital letters being changed). I followed the advice of going into wp_options in phpmyadmin and changing the site url and home (no cache folder to delete) but it breaks everything and I have to restore the database.

    Am I missing something? should I also be changing it in the dashboard settings? should I also make a new directory for it? Is it something so ridiculously simple I am missing it? There seem to be a plethora of instructions…should I be doing MORE than just changing these two values? If I just started a new blog with the corrected spelling, could I just move all my files there and start again?

    Help please!
