Is it possible to change this to the site name from “WordPress” or have an additional field in the customizer?

  • Hey again, @creativecatapps!

To change email sender for admin notifications, we recommend using one of SMTP plugins. Then, in SMTP settings, configure your sender name for the address you used in Email address field in Step 2 of building your form.

To change it for user notifications, simply change the value of Email display name in Step 2.

    Hope this helps! ??

I understand this is generally how it works but I have a specific use case where there are multiple recipients in an organisation. Having the site name is a good start, but being able to set it per form (there are five forms on the site I’m working on) would be useful from an organisational perspective.

I’m used to CF7 and am very happy with Happy Forms, but a few tweaks would elevate it from good to great.

    Hey again @creativecatapps!

Just to be sure we’re not overlooking something: you configured an Email display name in your Setup step, but you’re still receiving emails with your site name instead?

The email display name works for the confirmation email, but it would be handy to also be able to set it per form for the submission alerts.

Confirmation email works as expected but submission alerts say “WordPress”.

    Oh, I see @creativecatapps!

At least, I think I’m on the same page now. When you configure a display name for your emails, it currently only applies to confirmations you send to your users. You’d like the display name to apply to your submission alerts too, right?

Just checking that I’m getting it right. If that’s the case, HappyForms doesn’t support it yet, but it’s a nice suggestion and an easy fix which we might ship in the next release.

Let us know what you think!
