Change Select Options to Drop down menu in shop catalogue

The default view of a variable product looks something like this: https://d.pr/i/p6bEsT

When you say “So, we get this option for select options (in the shop catalogue) when we make a variable product.
I’ve been facing this issue to change the select options of a variable product to a drop-down of all the variations of that product in the catalogue itself (instead of taking me to the product page). ” – do you mean something like this: https://remicorson.com/display-woocommerce-product-variations-dropdown-on-the-shop-page/ ?

Thanks for the quick reply, but the default view you shared is not the correct one. Although, the solution is. I need the dropdown similar to the one you shared with the second link. But I am getting a ‘Select options’ option for my variable product.

Could you share a screenshot of what you are referring to as the correct one? That will help us understand your question better.

Did you ensure a default variation is set for the product and then check if it shows the “select option” or the “default” variation selected?

Are you looking to do something like this on the front end by any chance?

I’ll be changing all the products to variable.

The dropdown is shown on my product page I need it to be on my shop catalogue.

I guess..it’s been set to default.

P.S. the link/code shared by @conschneider is partially working. As in, I got the option for variations, but no variations are showing. Here’s what I’m talking about:

Thank you for clarifying what you mean ??

Right now, there is no way to achieve that by default. Variable Products will need to redirect to the actual product page for selection.

The customization method shared by @conschneider seems to be a bit outdated and does not work properly anymore.

Since this kind of customization extends out of our scope of support policy, you could consider hiring a developer to assist with this customization that you need.
