    Hello,

Thanks for the theme and support. Using Vantage v 2.0.5

I want to change the search widget title text from “Search the Blog” to “Search (my text here)”. Also, how can I change the text within the box? Currently it says “Search”. I want it to say “Search (my text here)”.

I went into the search form php file to see if I could mess around with anything, but I don’t see any of these words within that file. Where does the theme get this information? I also did a search in functions and didn’t see. Not sure how to specify this in the theme.

Currently I am using a child theme.

    Thank you for the support.

    Jose

  • Hi there Jose

If you’re talking about the search in the sidebar, then you can change that in the widgets interface. Just add a new widget to the sidebar widget area. You’ll be able to set the title.

    Hello Greg,

    Thanks for the reply.

I was half-talking about the widget title (brain fart). Thanks!

But how do I change the text within the search box? I know I have to add something to my functions…I want it to say something customized, not just Search. And yes I am talking about the widget, not the search form that goes in the menu.

    Thank you,
    Jose

Looking forward to replace the SEARCH widget at the Menu level on Vantage Premium theme.

Have you made any advances on this Jose?

    Thanks,
    G
