The company I work for has their main website on a server that they are not allowing PHP to run on. However they wanted a WordPress blog for one of their services.

So we bought a new domain name and hosting to run the WordPress blog on. The address was like this: companynameftp.org

This was great until the content owner said he wanted the blog URL to be: blog.companyname.org

Since they do not allow PHP on that server, we did a DNS switch to make the link work.

So now when you type in “blog.companyname.org” and “companynameftp.org” they both show the same content which lives at “companynameftp.org”.

Confused yet? =) Here’s my question. I would like the permalinks in my WordPress blog to reference the “blog.companyname.org” as the root director in the permalink. Right now, the permalinks are set to “companynameftp.org” as the root URL and I can’t figure out how to change that.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your response!

Nevermind, I got it working. Under “Settings”, I changed the “Blog Address” to “blog.companyname.org”

    Simple fix…
