Change “reviewCount” to “ratingCount”

I just noticed that my snippets from the plugin have all vanished. I was reading this post https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/10134329?hl=en and realized that you’ve changed from “ratingCount” to “reviewCount”

My site doesn’t do reviews all the times and I’d like to revert back to “ratingCount”, is there a way to achieve this without having to edit the plugin each time an update rolls out?
