Change Profile URL or Delete Account

  • Problem: as a user of www.remarpro.com I need to change my username.

    Turns out, if I change my display name it keeps my old name in my profile URL. If I cannot change my profile URL, I would like to delete or edit my old posts. Turns out I can’t do that either.

    Currently, I have no F*%$^ing way to manage my own account or my activity on this website.

    I would like help to change my username and profile URL or to edit/delete a post.

    Don’t get me started on trying to just delete my account.

    Recommendation
    I strongly suggest that for privacy reasons, www.remarpro.com give users the ability to manage their own profiles and content on this website.

    It should not be so hard to delete ones presence! Seems like this site is breaking European laws around our right to be forgotten!

    I’m sorry, but for many valid reasons that is not technically possible. That also includes deleting your account.

    Seems like this site is breaking European laws around our right to be forgotten!

    IANAL but that’s just plain incorrect.

    Posts are only deleted or edited in rare and extreme cases.

    I’ve looked over your 4 posts in these forums and there is nothing extreme that needs deleting. Your post will not be edited or deleted.

    If you wish, change your email to something nonsensical and abandon your account if you choose to.
