    Hi Team,

This might not be a support issue or topic but need someone expert’s help here.

We have an E-commerce website https://www.pcstudio.in & have around 3000+ products on it.

All the product titles unfortunately are listed/entered in All Capital letters in the backend & in the front end we manage it with Elementor styling & front end is not a problem.

Now the problem is with listing these products on Google Merchant Center + Facebook shop. While we upload these listings on these platforms they throw a warning saying “Excessive Capitalization of product title”.

    My Questions:
    1. Can we update the titles back to sentence capitalization through bulk upload?
    2. Or is there any way that we can do this in bulk for all products which have title in capital?

One more problem which we have observed is that when updating products through bulk in excel (.csv) the copyright marks in the description (since these are retailer computer branded products) show up as “Question Mark (?)” on the front end after the upload.

Please can someone suggest on how to go about this issue.

    Thanks
    Shashikant

    Hi @shashikant91 ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Or is there any way that we can do this in bulk for all products which have title in capital?

I have found a plugin which features include “Search/replace text, append, prepend, or change capitalization” which should do the trick:

You could try importing products using an alternative CSV tool to the one you are currently using. Also, ensure that it is encoded in UTF-8 when saving.

    Hope this helps!

I will definitely try encoding it into UTF-8 but there is no such tool I am using for importing & exporting, it’s just the Woocommerce internal tool Under Woocommerce –> Products.

Thanks for the help. Will surely try this & let you know. Give me sometime.

    Thanks

    Hello Shashikant!

I’m glad you found the suggestions so far helpful!

To add to what @roxannestoltz has already said, you can alternatively make use of the Bulk Edit Products, Prices and Attributes product to address your scenario and much more.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @roxannestoltz

Thank you so much for this.

This has helped me a lot. The icons, symbols are not turning into ‘?’ now once the csv is saved in UTF-8 format.

Using the woo commerce internal importer/exporter to do this activity.

    Thanks Again
