Change Privacy in X Profile Fields

  • Hello,

    we have created some X-profile fields in buddypress. We know that in the profile settings each profile field’s visibility is adjustable, but also near the Profile field within the field groups (.de/members/username/profile/edit/group/)

    Here, the current visibility is presented as well as the option to change this setting (including a link).

    Is this the default setting?

    what might be the best solution?
    – hide this option or a hint like: “change options in the settings area”)
    – is it possible to change the settings with this “change” field
    – or is there a link that I can paste instead of “#”
