• Hi, I just created a child-theme of shopping, i copied all the file of omega and i pasted them in my shopping2 child-theme of omega directory, so I have my two menù but the sidebar now is to right (content\sidebar) and i can’t to choose sidebar\content. How can I have sidebar\content in my child-theme? Why the new update of omega don’t support 2 menù and the change sidebar position? Why my logo in child them disappear after the update?
    please help me!!!

  • Hi Sunako,
I believe your issue has nothing to do with Omega update. Logo setting is theme feature so you need to setup logo when you switch theme / child theme.
Create sidebar\content layout requires template file creation and custom CSS. You can learn from church theme. Copy all files of Omega to create a child theme is not recommended and might not work.

Hi,I’m using Shopping like child theme of Omega but when I updated parent and child I lost everything: my double menù, sidebar\content, logos per categories and my credits, so what I can do?

We cannot provide a specific solution as we don’t see your custom theme.

Instead of copy file from Omega theme folder, I’d recommend you copy from other Omega child themes, like Omega church theme and then make a necessary adjustment.
Child theme has much less code and it’s easier to understand and tweak.
