Change position of header banner and menu bar

  • I have this website that i am trying to make – the link is https://www.cakeliving.com.

    The theme i have chosen is the Twenty Twelve. I can’t seem to change the position of the header and menu bar. I found a code in this forum which i pasted in my editor but it did not work as intended and instead it ended up looking weird.

    Can you help me with this? I want to show the header (which is a banner) and underneath it i want to have the menu bar.

    Also, if i want to change the background colour of the menu bar from white to another colour how is this done?

    I hope someone in can help. Thanks in advance.

  • Changing the flow of the page using CSS can be tricky at best. In this case the problem is that your menu bar is inside the same element as your top wallpaper, and you header is in your content element.
    I don’t see a way to do it with just CSS.
