Change Portfolio Sort Order

  • Hi,

    Just wondering if it’s possible to change the sort order of portfolio items from ascending to descending?

    I’d like to use ‘accountancy dates’ (YYYYMMDD) for my order – which if sorted in descending order would place the newest portfolio item at the top.

  • Currently the portfolio items are ordered by menu order, meaning each post has an area where you can add a number and that determines it’s order. The smallest number first, if the numbers are the same it falls back to order by date.

    If you want to change it to default to order by date and sort by descending You will need to adjust the query on page-portfolio.php you will need to edit the lines 41 and 42.
