• Hi there!

How do I change place for the two sidebars? Any setting I don’t know of yet?

If that’s not possible in the settings and I don’t want to dive into the code then maybe it’s possible to add the css attributes of the left sidebar and add it to the right and vice versa? How do I do that?

    Thanks,
    3dpc

  • Hi!

It involves a bit of CSS to change position of the sidebars, but I saw that for example this guy has done it on his site:

You could perhaps ask him for the CSS he has.

    Alright.

Quite a disadvantage with this theme is that you can’t fit the most common sized AdSense banners on the website in the right sidebar. 300×250, 336×280. As that’s where my ads convert best it’s sad as otherwise I really like this theme.

Checked out his site. Think I’ll be able to find inspiration from his CSS, but anyways, might wanna add some setting to your theme to configurate this, just an idea.

The thing is that it’s pretty filled already with CSS-logic for the sidebars, and it’s easy to go overboard and overbuild something. So I opted to not include that option.

    You have:
    – 1 column, content center
    – 2 column, content left
    – 2 column, content right
    – 3 column, content middle
    – 3 column, content left
    – 3 column, content right

Now add toggle-sidebar functionality that changes for 3 different resolutions on top of that, for each of these options. In short: it was a headache to create and I had to stop somewhere to not bloat the code ??

I get it can get crowded and confusing too easy.

Maybe it would work to just add an option somewhere looking like this:
Checkbox – Left sidebar big, right sidebar small
Checkbox – Left sidebar small, right sidebar big

Perhaps it doesn’t make any difference in terms of coding and headache, worth just mentioning the concept of the idea at least.

Edit: Now when thinking further you’d actually need to add the options for each template as one can use several different templates on different types of pages on one website. Yup, probably not the best idea.

Yes I agree, the most useful configuration is missing : Left sidebar 220px / Content / Right sidebar 300px.

Would it be possible to add it to the next update please? That would be pretty cool ??
