https://cranberrypiedesigns.com my site was set up under the name a sliceofcranberrypie. the name cranberrypiedesigns also directs there and opens my www.remarpro.com site. now i want to use rich pins on Pinterest, but cannot figure out how I can make them show cranberrypiedesigns instead of asliceofcranberrypie on the pin. my permalink is asliceofcranberrypie. I can change the fetched URL for each individual item, but the canonical URL stays the same

  • Hi there,

To make sure I understand the issue, it sounds like your preferred domain name, cranberrypiedesigns.com, was not being displayed when pinning items from your site for Pinterest. Instead, the domain asliceofcranberrypie.com is appearing. Is that correct?

If so, there may have been caching at the DNS or Pinterest level that was causing pins to show asliceofcranberrypie.com instead of cranberrypiedesigns.com as the domain for your site. I tested today by taking the following steps, and I see the preferred domain, cranberrypiedesigns.com, when I use the “Pin it” button to pin a photo to Pinterest.

For example, when I visited https://cranberrypiedesigns.com/?product=13-days-of-halloween and clicked the Pin it button, I saw the correct domain at the bottom of each image selection, as seen in this screenshot:

If I’ve misunderstood the issue, please reply with steps to replicate the problem so troubleshooting can continue.
