• I am trying to change the page width on my site (brownsugartoast.com). There’s a lot of empty ‘white space’ if you scroll to the right and I have NO CLUE how to get rid of it despite trying to change sidebar widths & page widths.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
    Thanks.

  • I am seeing no issue with the widths on your site – the left and right seem pretty well-balanced. Do you have ads / JS-based plugins on your site?

thanks so much for the quick response!
No ad plug-ins on the site.

The thing I’m concerned about is the large amount of white space to the right of the page. You can’t see it initially, but if you scroll to the right you can see it. Or if you look at it on a mobile site, it looks pretty bad.

Try using fixed width instead of fluid width for your page layouts. My site looked bad on iProducts and such and when I changed all layouts to Fixed width from fluid the issue was resolved for me. I hope this helps.

thanks, EtrangeFruit. But I already tried using fixed width and it didn’t solve anything. ??

Did you manage to work out a solution to this Brownsugartoast? I’m having the same problem and can’t for the life of me work out how to remove it.

No, I haven’t figured out how to fix it. :/
