Change order of images in gallery

    Since 5.9 I can’t sort the images in a native WordPress gallery any more. I always used drag&drop to adjust the order but this doesn’t work. I tried Firefox and Chrome. Is this a known bug?

    You should be able to select individual images in the gallery block and move them like so: https://cloudup.com/iWf6VldgSHL

    Drag and drop works here too.

    There seems to be a bug with drag and drop in the media library as described here. It looks like this will be fixed in 5.9.1.

    Hopefully the re-ordering feature outlined above will be adequate until then.

    Hi James, I forgot to mention that it happens with the classic editor. I’ll see what happens when we switch to Gutenberg.

    Edit: It does work the way you showed in Gutenberg but I’ll have to rebuild the galleries in Gutenberg so I’ll wait for the update.
