Change or redirect a Page URL

    Hey there,

    I have a “Bugdet Travel” page on my blog and would like to add my “How to Hitchike” article to it. Now I already have that article on my page, but as a post rather than a page! But i would like the post to appear in the dropdown menu here and I think the only way to achieve it is by adding page, since only pages show up in that drop down menu?

    I created a blank page with the same name and now I want to either put a redireect or just change the URL of the Page. I think the second option would be better, unless you have any other ideas?

    So here i want to change the URL from the blank page “https://www.chrisontour84.de/budget-travel/how-to-hitchhike-2/&#8221; to the old post “https://www.chrisontour84.de/travel/hitchhiking-tips/&#8221;

    Hope that makes sense ?? I dont know how I can just change the URL hardcoded?

  • You CAN add a post to your menu, if you have made the menu in WordPress. Go to Apperance > Menus and add a “Custom Links”. Past in the Name and URL and add to the menu.

    Am I missing something?

    For some reason the Budget Travel page does not show up at all:

    EDIT: I managed to add it now, but the effect does not appear on the site. The page structure in that menu is actually totally off compared to the real one, so somehow it is not synced up.

    This is how it looks in the menu now, but it does not really reflect whats live on my site: https://i.imgur.com/hNpMhEV.png

    Any ideas?

    Got it now! Had to remove everything, add the correct order, then save again and activate it under “manage locations” in thee next tab.

    There is not another menu listed above? Select a menu to edit: pulldown?
