    Hello,
I installed the plugin Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce and it was working well.
However, Yesterday I changed a word in a saved custom tabs that I’ve already used for 13 posts, and all of the sudden the content of these 13 products have been erased.
I had this custom tab saved:
    Brand:
    Model:
    Model No.:
    Type:
    Body material:

and I wanted to add “Body color:” and to use “bold”.
I saved it, and from this moment the content that was saved on the products is gone:
    instead of

    Brand: nike
    Model:123rE1
    Model No.:Basic
    Type: Female
    Body material: leather

    it now just remains

    Brand:
    Model:
    Model No.:
    Type:
    Body material:
    “\
    |Whats happened?
    |Is it a way to get back all the content of the products description?
Thanks a lot for your answer

    Hi @tp26,

It looks like you set your saved tab on your products, customized this saved tab on each individual product without hitting the “Overwrite Saved Tab”, and then updated the saved tab. When you updated the saved tab, it updated your products with the content of that tab.

When you added your saved tab to your products and customized the details (e.g. adding the brand, model, etc. for each individual product), you need to hit the “Overwrite Saved Tab” checkbox. This means that any changes you make to your saved tab will not touch your existing tabs.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks,
    Kevin.

Thank you so much for your answer!
I understand now how it works, so that means I have to hit the “Overwrite Saved Tab” checkbox for each and every product?
    Thanks

    Hey @tp26,

The way you’re using this saved tab isn’t really how it’s meant to be used. You’re using a saved tab as a “template” for your products. This can work OK but there are two downsides.

    (1) You would need to go to each individual product and click the “override saved tab” checkbox. If you’re already going to each product, what’s the point of using the saved tab?

    (2) Any changes you make to the saved tab would not be ported back to your products (because the products are no longer attached to the saved tab). So if you want to add an attribute you would need to go to each individual product and update them.

Saved tabs are best when the content is exactly the same between products (like shipping information or general product disclaimer information).

    Does that make sense?

For your case, I think copy & pasting your attributes list and then filling in the product information is the best way to approach it.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.
