Can the Office 365 / Outlook outgoing email address be changed at a later date ?

Also. To be clear. After plugin setup, the O-365 / Outlook will be the OUTGOING email address from wordpress / elementor contact form ?

Another plugin I looked at only provides O-365 / Outlook being routed to the Outlook SENT EMAIL.

My client will be expecting the contact form info landing in their Outlook INBOX

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @evildoer,

Yes, it sounds like you have understood correctly. It is possible to change the connection to the Office 365 API at any time, you will need to adjust your Azure app though. It’s by no means impossible to change the sender though.

You are correct about the sender. All mail routed through Post SMTP will be sent over the Office 365 API. This will include your Elementor forms and all WordPress notification emails – exactly what goes through Post SMTP in “standard” configuration. The mail will be from the account you specify when you set up the Office 365 API. The recipient (to) can be anyone you like and specify.

For more information about the set up, please read through the guide here.

    Does that answer your questions?

    Kind Regards,

    I feel like a dummy here but….

When I read the setup directions for the Post SMTP plugin I see no option for O-365 / Outlook

Which leads me to believe that I ONLY need to setup the Office 365 for Post SMTP Extension plugin.

    Hi @evildoer,

No worries. So you need to install the Post SMTP plugin as a “base”, it contains all of the functionality and features required to make this work. The Office 365 extension simply adds additional functionality to Post SMTP – which in this case is the ability to send mail through the Microsoft API.

Please checkout the guide here, and at the bottom there is information if you require support more specific to your site.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Thanks for clarifying that.
