I am using the twentyten theme on a site and want to change the Not Found message that is returned for archive or category results.

I know how to change the 404 not found message for regular pages in the 404.php file and I also found the search results not found message in the search.php file but I can’t find the message that is returned when an archive or category page is not found. Any help is much appreciated!

    The message is as follows:

(Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.)

  • Try looking in loop.php

But be warned that your customisations will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

    There it is, awesome!

Thank you esmi! You truly live up to the title of “Theme Diva”

Also, thank you for the warning regarding the upgrade process. I will keep that in mind.

    Thanks!

    You’re welcome. ??
