    Hi.

Thx for that great ACF extension!

We switched over from another CPT solution (on the same WP installation) and reimported all data.

Is there an easy way to rename the CPT name to the ‘old’ one. The original was ‘partner’ and for the new we choosed ‘partner-acf’. By just renaming the new CPT ‘name’ the posts are all ‘gone’. I know they are not lost – by just re-rename them again. But we need the CPT named as ‘partner’.

    Thx & Best / Sascha

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback! Well don’t worry, your posts were not deleted, they just don’t show up because the post type they were assigned to doesn’t exists, since you renamed it.

In order to migrate your posts, I would advise you the following process:

    • Keep your partner-acf post type
    • Register the post type partner too
    • Use the plugin Post Type Switcher to switch posts
    • Once everything is switched, remove partner-acf

    Hope it helps!

    Regards.
