I wonder why i suddenly need to change mysql to php otherwise i can’t do a backup ?

    I get access denied.

It hasn’t been a problem earlier on other sites. Just worked out of the box.

Has anything changed somewhere, WordPress or other ?

    All the best
    Carsten

  • Hey @boblebad

Thanks for the feedback! It’s possible your host may have disabled access to mysqldump, typically that would be why you are required to use PHP.

If you would like to submit a support ticket for this issue we can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this forum thread when submitting the ticket.

    Hope this helps~

    Hello @corylamleorg

Thank you for your reply ??

The interesting part is that it works perfect on another site i have. The wierd thing is that it’s very clean install that hasn’t been filled with much other than WP, Divi and Sucuri. The other one where it works fine has more plugins installed. They are both on the same host server and same account.

    Hey @boblebad,

Not 100% sure to be honest, I would think on the same host it would give issues on both sites, it’s possible there could be a plugin or theme conflict somewhere, you might try to temporarily disable all plugins and switch over to another theme to see if that helps, there might be some clues in the PHP error logs as well…

    Hope that helps~

    Hi @corylamleorg

But the problem is that i don’t have any plugins besides Sucuri on that site, and the other one where it works, i have more ?

I have written my host, but i guess that permissions for mysqldump is given on a server level and not domain.

    Hey @boblebad,

If you want to use the link above we could have a look at your setup and see if there are any items we can help iron out…

    Thanks
